The park is renowned for its unique population of one-horned rhinoceroses — and winter is an ideal time to see them up close.

When the mist lifts from the grasslands in the early morning, the space resembles a dream. Winter is the prime wildlife safari season in Kaziranga, and the best part for bird lovers is that you will also get to see hundreds of migratory birds who come to the park.

Over 500 species of birds flock to the park’s tall grasslands and wetlands. It is the winter it adds a sense of tranquility as the warm summer heat disappears and ideal for safaris.
